Currency

The Venezuelan currency is the Bolívar (VEB), but shops accept US Dollars at the current exchange rate. Any currency can be exchanged at banks and money exchange authorised stores. Credit cards are all honored.

The electric source for residential (including hotels and resorts) in Venezuela is 110v. Although you'll find some places with both 110v and 220v, you should take with you an universal converter just in case.
